On October 30, 2025, the Government of Canada repealed the Nuclear Security Regulations (SOR/2000-209) and replaced it with Nuclear Security Regulations (SOR/2025-219). This will require the CNSC to replace REGDOC-2.12.1, High Security Facilities, Volume I: Nuclear Response Force and High-Security Facilities, Volume II: Criteria for Nuclear Security Systems and Devices; REGDOC-2.12.2, Site Access Clearance; and replace with REGDOC-2.12.1, and General Security, REGDOC-2.12.2 High Security Sites. It is also requiring consequential amendments to other REGDOCs. This document contains all the proposed changes to the other REGDOCs in the CNSC Regulatory Framework.
