Squamish Public Library Visits
Squamish Public Library Visits | Squamish Community Dashboard This measures the number of people entering the library as tracked by the sensors on the security gates at the library entrance. About this target: Increase in library activity by 15% from 2014 to 2019 (including memberships, circulation, visits and program attendance). Analysis: The library saw an increase in foot traffic in 2024 of 18% over 2023, reaching nearly 138k visits. The 2024 visitor count is near pre-pandemic levels. It’s important to note that more people now access our services digitally; therefore, in-person visits recorded don’t represent the overall library activity. Digital usage in 2024 has surpassed all previous years. Reason for monitoring: As a hub for community learning, increased access and services available at the Squamish Public Library can strengthen information sharing, community connections, and cultivate a learning culture within Squamish to advance lifelong learning and universal literacy.
