Urban Boundary 2031

Please note that this dataset is now provided for historical reference only and is not intended for analytical use. As of July 1, 2024, Peel Region's planning and development responsibilities were transferred to the Ontario Government and local municipalities under Bill 185 ‘Cutting Red Tape to Build More Homes Act 2024’. This dataset delineates the 2031 Regional Urban Boundary. In order to provide certainty as to which lands are being proposed for urban purposes and which lands will remain agricultural or rural within the timeframe of the Region of Peel Official Plan, a Regional Urban Boundary was established, within which urban growth will be planned to occur in a phased manner until 2031.
