Squamish Next (SIM Next 2026) presents a snapshot of future development, proposed through active land development applications submitted to the District of Squamish. This dataset is composed of DOS property and building permit informaation, in addition to incoming housing (#units) associated with Development Permits, Rezoning, and Official Community Plan applications. Projected housing units reflect five large neighbourhood developments (Waterfront, Oceanfront, Newport Ridge, Cheekeye and North Crumpit). These neighbourhood plans account for over 6,900 dwelling units supporting over 14,000 residents. If built, these developments are anticipated to be completed incrementally over 10-20 years.
