As of July 1, 2024, Peel Region's planning and development responsibilities were transferred to the Ontario Government and local municipalities under Bill 185 ‘Cutting Red Tape to Build More Homes Act 2024’. This dataset provides draft population, employment and housing unit forecast data for Peel Region by Community Planning Area, prepared in November, 2018. These forecasts are provided for each Community Planning Area for each Census year (5-year intervals from 2016 to 2041). Population values include a net under-coverage (undercount) that has been applied. Use the data dictionary to assist you with understanding the fields provided in the file. These forecasts have not been approved by Regional Council and have no formal planning status. They have been prepared for information and analysis purposes only. These forecasts reflect the best information available at this time, and are subject to change.
