Alberta population projections, 2024-2051 - Alberta and local geographic areas (LGAs) - data tables

These long-term population projections by single year of age and gender have been developed by applying the component cohort survival model to assumptions about future trends in fertility, mortality and migration, under three different sets of assumptions (i.e. low, medium and high scenarios) at the Alberta level. Includes estimated (2001-2023) and projected (2024-2051) population of Alberta and its sub-regions, by single year of age and gender, as well as selected summary tables. PLEASE NOTE updated projections for 2025-2051 are now available. See the Related tab above for a link to the updated projections.
