Alberta oil sands royalty data

Alberta oil sands royalty data is an open dataset from Government of Alberta with 36 files (XLSX, XLS, HTML); catalogue record updated 2026-08-26. On CanQuery you can open 35 CSV or Excel files as tables, filter, chart and export up to 10,000 rows as CSV and follow the original downloads.

Royalty data is published on the recommendation of the 2015 Royalty Review Advisory Panel, which also gave direction on the Modernized Royalty Framework that came into force on January 1, 2017. Industry is legislated to supply this project data.
