Motor Vehicle Collisions Involving Killed or Seriously Injured Persons

The City of Toronto’s Transportation Services Division receives collision data from the Toronto Police Service (TPS) for motor vehicle collisions that occur in the City of Toronto’s right-of-way and involve a serious injury or fatality. This dataset includes collision data for all people involved in motor vehicle collisions where at least one person was killed or seriously injured (KSI), since 2006. Each record (row) in the table corresponds to one involved person. The collision data provided include several fields that describe the collision event and actions of people involved. Each data field is either relevant to the collision event and is consistent across all people involved in the collision, or is specific to the person involved. Data fields are described in detail in the data dictionary.
