This data identifies the annual number of rabies cases detected, the virus variant, municipality and number of animals tested in Ontario. Data from 2015 to 2025 is available. We update the data annually. Testing was done by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), and the Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative (CWHC).
