The Water and Waste Department conducts voluntary monitoring at regular intervals during the open water season to measure the health of Winnipeg's waterways. We test for several parameters including nutrients, dissolved oxygen and bacteria. Monitoring is done at 11 locations along the Red and Assiniboine rivers and at 8 locations on selected smaller rivers, streams, and creeks. Note: NS - no sample, NA - not analyzed, NR - no result, - above detection limit.
