GC HR and Pay - Change Management
Strategies and reviews pertaining to the stabilization of pay and the transformation of human resources and pay in the Government of Canada have identified that pay and HR challenges are not only technical in nature, but also depend on how business processes, roles, data practices, and workforce readiness are managed across organizations. As a result, change management is a critical component of efforts to improve pay accuracy, reduce risk, and support employees, managers, and HR, compensation professionals, teams, communities of practice, and organizations during periods of transition. Change management strategies and related documents align with Public Services and Procurement Canada’s Integrated Strategy for Human Resources and Pay and the findings of the Human Capital Management Feasibility Report, which emphasize readiness, governance, and sustained change management as key enablers of stable and modern HR and pay services.
