This publication contains the Agreement on Port State Measures to Prevent, Deter and Eliminate Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing, adopted at Rome in 2009 and in force for Canada as of July 20, 2019. It establishes international measures for port states to prevent vessels engaged in illegal fishing from using ports and to strengthen international cooperation in fisheries management.
