Civil security events

The purpose of this dataset is to make it possible to locate civil security events recorded by the Operations Directorate of the Ministry of Homeland Security. It brings together in a structured way operational information related to completed claims that have had an impact on citizens, goods or services to the population since June 2020. Ongoing events are not shown. It contains information concerning the date of reporting, the hazard, the municipality and the severity of the event. Attention: The wording of the hazards was changed in 2026 (see list in the additional information). The severity level changed in meaning in January 2026: Overview (formerly Unknown): Negligible or Surveillance, no disturbances. The minimum severity “On surveillance” isolates events under surveillance or in forecasting (as opposed to events with real impacts, i.e. where interventions and consequences materialize). These events are separated into a layer called Potential civil security events. The Civil Security Events layer, on the other hand, excludes “On Watch” severity events.
