Acoustic Target Data in British Columbia Lakes
Data Description: This dataset is a cleaned compilation of limnetic fish abundance estimates in BC lakes from 1977 to the beginning of 2008 that were collected as part of the Lake Enrichment Program (LEP) at DFO. These data comprise estimates of numbers of juvenile and adult Sockeye, and stickleback fish in British Columbia lakes and were generated by hydro-acoustic counts from echo-sounders of "fish-like-targets" (FLTs). Note that these acoustic target data are best understood in combination with the trawl (biosampling) data. For more information, please see the supporting document “Acoustic Target Data Issues”.
