Food Microbiology - Targeted Surveys - Final Report - Listeria monocytogenes in Flavoured Milk - Aprl 1, 2017 to March 31, 2020

​​A targeted survey analysed 1495 samples of flavoured milk for the presence of Listeria monocytogenes. Samples were also tested for Aerobic Colony Count, which is an indicator of microbial quality of food. Listeria monocytogenes was not found in any of the samples. Aerobic Colony Counts were found in 33 samples. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency conducted appropriate follow-up activities that resulted in a product recall.
