Savings by parents and guardians for the postsecondary education of their children less than 18 years old, by region and child characteristic, include age, gender, and academic performance (as a percentage) during the last year of elementary or secondary school. Statistics presented include the percentage of children with savings for postsecondary education and the percentage of those whose savings are held in a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP).
