Transcontinental Railways

Contained within the 2nd Edition (1915) of the Atlas of Canada is a map that shows Canada's transcontinental rail network. Ownership of these rail lines is included on the map. The portions of the main lines of the Grand Trunk, Grand Trunk Pacific, Canadian Pacific, Canadian Northern and Canadian Government railway companies are shown as being in operation or projected. Red, green, blue, or black solid lines are in operation and dashed lines are projected. Major rail lines in the U.S. controlled by Canadian operators are also shown.
