Navigation Protection Program Registry

The Navigation Protection Program (NPP) Registry contains information to notify Canadians of proposed works on all navigable waterways by facilitating access to records related to these proposals that may impact their right to navigation. It contains data collected by Transport Canada in relation to the Legacy Navigation Protection Program and the new Canadian Navigable Waterways Act, helping to expand the scope of federal oversight for the public right of navigation by enhancing openness, transparency and accessibility. The registry is expected to go live on August 29th, 2019 and will include data (approvals of works) from April 2014.
