This report is the conclusion of three years of hearings in Ottawa and fact finding missions to Russia, China and India. Beginning in November 2007, the Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade undertook a study motivated by an interest in the extent and ways in which Canada could benefit from the impressive and almost unprecedented economic growth of China, India and Russia. Their rise in the new global economy holds significant domestic, bilateral, and global implications for Canada and for its future prosperity.
