Glacier Retreat

Contained within the 4th Edition (1974) of the Atlas of Canada is a map that shows the successive stages in the retreat of the last ice sheet in North America in respect to coverage of the Canadian landmass. Included with the map are the speculative ice-marginal positions with approximate time in years before present and present day ice cover which is denoted as well as areas which were unglaciated during the last glaciation period.
