DOPHS Cases and Rates in Ottawa by Age and Sex
Date created: July 2024 Update frequency: Quarterly Accuracy - Points of consideration for interpretation of the data : Individual Ottawa residents may have multiple confirmed reports of a DPHS infection and each of these reports would be counted. Attributes - Data fields: Year - the calendar year (YYYY) the DPHS was reported to OPH, year starts in January and ends in December. Age – the age at time of illness of Ottawa residents with the reported DPHS. Age is reported by the following groups: 00 to 04 years, 05 to 09 years, 10 to 14 years, 15 to 19 years, 20 to 24 years, 25 to 29 years, 30 to 39 years, 40 to 59 years, 60 to 79 years and 80+ years. Sex – the sex of Ottawa residents with the reported DPHS (Male, Female, and Other/Unknown). DPHS – the name of the Disease of Public Health Significance (DPHS) reported to Ottawa Public Health. Ottawa Cases – the number of DPHS cases reported to OPH by DPHS and year reported for the previous 10 years. Ottawa Rates – the rate, per 100,000 Ottawa residents, of DPHS reported to OPH by year reported for the previous 10 years.
