School Crossings

Locations within the City of London, designated as safe places for school aged children to cross streets as they travel to and from school. School Crossings are generally marked with parallel solid white lines which are perpendicular to the direction of vehicular travel on the traveled portion of roads. These locations are typically accompanied by signs that clearly identify the site as a recognized school crossing. These locations may or may not be attended by Adult Crossing Guards during peek school travel times.
