DOPHS Cases and Rates in Ottawa by Quarter

Date created: July 2024 Update frequency: Quarterly Accuracy - Points of consideration for interpretation of the data: Individual Ottawa residents may have multiple confirmed reports of a DPHS infection and each of these reports would be counted. Attributes Data fields: Year Quarter - the calendar year and quarter (YYYY QQ) the DPHS was reported to OPH. DPHS – the name of the Disease of Public Health Significance (DPHS) reported to Ottawa Public Health. Ottawa Cases – the number of DPHS cases reported to OPH by DPHS and quarter reported for the current and previous calendar years. Ottawa Rates – the rate, per 100,000 Ottawa residents, of DPHS reported to OPH by quarter for the current and previous calendar years. The rate is calculated by dividing, for each DPHS and reporting quarter, the total number of cases by Ottawa’s population.
