2021 Census: Housing, Households & Families (CMA CSD)

This layer includes data from Statistics Canada 2021 Census of Population with a focus on census metropolitan area (CMA) and census subdivisions (CSD) in the Kingston area. This summary highlights data based on indicators of Housing, Households and Families from the 2021 Census of Population. Housing indicators describe the physical and financial characteristics of dwellings, Household indicators refer to the characteristics of the people occupying a dwelling and Family indicators outline family structures and the relationship between household members in the Kingston area. Custom geography census profiles, including Electoral Districts and Neighbourhood‑level profiles, are created entirely from the long‑form (25% sample) census database. Standard geography census profiles for the Kingston CMA and CSD geographies use information from both the short‑form (100% sample) and long‑form databases, depending on the variable. To protect respondent confidentiality, all Census data is processed using Statistics Canada’s Random Rounding method.
