KFLA Children and Youth Community Profiles

This report has been part of a larger collaborative project between many community organizations that came together through the United Way Community Profiles working group as an ongoing effort to provide a snapshot of children and youth in the community. This report, which is part of a series, has been developed as an interactive Storymap that will be updated as new data becomes available. The KFLA Community Profile report has evolved over time and every attempt has been made to ensure accuracy in the publication. There are various data sources contained in this Storymap. EDI data was developed by researchers at the Offord Centre for Child Studies at McMaster University, distributed by Ontario Ministry of Education and prepared by the City of Kingston. This dataset is designed to be interpreted at the group level only. The 2021 Census of population data was distributed through the Community Data Program from Statistics Canada. Population Health data was organized through the South East Health Unit and Public Health Ontario.
