2021 Census: Ethnic Diversity and Religion (CMA CSD)
This layer includes data from Statistics Canada 2021 Census of Population with a focus on indicators of ethnic diversity, racialized (visible minority) and religion population within the census metropolitan area (CMA) and census subdivisions (CSD) in the Kingston area. Ethnic diversity indicators refers to the ethnic or cultural origins of the person's ancestors, racialized (visible minority) indicators, as defined by the Employment Equity Act include “persons, other than Indigenous peoples, who are non-Caucasian in race or non-white in colour”, and Religion indicators refers to having a connection or affiliation with any religious denomination, group, body, or other religiously defined community or system of belief. Standard geography census profiles for the Kingston CMA and CSD geographies use information from both the short‑form (100% sample) and long‑form databases, depending on the variable. Custom geography census profiles, including Electoral Districts and Neighbourhood‑level profiles, are created entirely from the long‑form (25% sample) census database. To protect respondent confidentiality, all Census data is processed using Statistics Canada’s Random Rounding method.…
