Sharp Kiosk Locations

This map displays the used sharps disposal kiosks located throughout the Kingston community to promote the safe disposal of used sharps. Effective sharps disposal relies on collaboration with municipal partners, public health, community organizations, businesses, and the public. Access to disposal options and promoting responsible disposal practices are key to preventing improperly discarded used sharps and to enhancing public safety. The Needle Syringe Program is operated by the Southeast Health Unit (formerly known as Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington Public Health) as part of a provincially mandated harm reduction initiative that includes the disposal of the contents of these kiosks. The program is not funded to dispose of medical waste or for items unrelated to the Needle Syringe Program. The community kiosks are for harm reduction supplies such as: Sharps containers, Used needles and syringes, Glassware. The community kiosks are NOT for: Medical supplies and waste, Garbage, food items or animal waste, Clothing or cleaning products.
