Building Height Restricted Area Feature Layer

Two distinct areas limiting building height construction in Thunder Bay: (1) Area surrounding the airport - based on the OLS (Obstacle Limitation Surface) protecting flight paths from obstruction provided by Thunder Bay Airport & (2) Area in north-end Thunder Bay protecting the City’s view shed of the Sleeping Giant from building obstruction - based upon City bylaw. The sources for data collection are Obstacle Limitation Surface, Thunder Bay International Airport Authority, and the City of Thunder Bay Zoning By-law 100-2010.
