Waterbody

Contains extents of permanent waterbodies located within Peel Region. This dataset includes lakes, ponds, reservoirs, marshes, and drainage/stormwater management ponds. Lakes have a surface area >= 2 hectares, while ponds have a surface area less than 2 hectares, except when the body of water is classified as an industrial waterbody. The identification and classification system used does not follow the Ontario Wetland Evaluation System (OWES) . The dataset was created for the purposes of cartography and is classified accordingly.
