2021 Census: Education, Employment & Commuting (CMA CSD)

This layer includes data from Statistics Canada 2021 Census of Population with a focus on census metropolitan area (CMA) and census subdivisions (CSD) in the Kingston area. This summary highlights data based on indicators of education, employment and commuting from the 2021 Census of Population. Education indicators refer to types of certificates and major fields of study; Employment indicators describe the characteristics of the labour force; and Commuting indicators outline the transportation variables for the employed workforce. Custom geography census profiles, including Electoral Districts and Neighbourhood‑level profiles, are created entirely from the long‑form (25% sample) census database. Standard geography census profiles for the Kingston CMA and CSD geographies use information from both the short‑form (100% sample) and long‑form databases, depending on the variable. To protect respondent confidentiality, all Census data is processed using Statistics Canada’s Random Rounding method.
