Urban Settlement Area Feature Layer

The Urban Settlement Area is comprised of residential land uses in combination with the City’s Employment Areas, which include industrial areas, commercial centres, as well as major educational and health facilities. It is intended that development in this area be fully serviced by municipal water and sewer, with the exception of appropriate industrial development in certain locations. Growth and development is to be directed to the Urban Settlement Area.The source of the data is Schedule A General Land Use from the 2019 Official Plan.
