Calgary Existing Buildings - Performance Metrics

This dataset summarizes building energy and water reporting information submitted through BenchmarkYYC. Results are grouped by reporting year and property type to support public comparison of building energy and water use, emissions, and estimated energy costs. Data source Year, property type, number of buildings, gross floor area, electricity use, natural gas use, district hot water use, and water use are based on information reported to BenchmarkYYC through ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. Calculated values Greenhouse gas emissions, energy costs, and related intensity values are calculated by The City of Calgary using local emission factors and cost-estimation assumptions. These calculated values may differ from values shown in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. Energy cost estimates Energy cost values are estimates for comparison only. They are not actual utility bills, audited costs, rate forecasts, or site-specific billing amounts. Aggregation Each row represents a group of buildings by year and property type.
