National Chemical Residue Monitoring Program and Chemistry Food Safety Oversight Program Annual Report 2022-2023

This report describes the monitoring activities undertaken by the CFIA in 2022-23 as part of the National Chemical Residue Monitoring Program (NCRMP). In the context of the 2022-23 NCRMP, over 110,000 tests for residues of veterinary drugs, pesticides, environmental contaminants, mycotoxins, and metals were performed on approximately 15,500 monitoring samples of domestic and imported dairy, eggs, honey, meat and poultry, fish and seafood, fresh and processed fruit and vegetable commodities and maple syrup.
