C-39, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (medical assistance in dying)

The Committee of the Whole will be conducting a subject matter study of the bill, rather than performing the official committee stage examination. This type of proceeding is not unusual, particularly for government legislation that is facing an urgent deadline. As a result, the Committee can study the contents of the bill, but cannot make technical or specific amendments to the clauses.
