This publication contains the Convention establishing the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), a multilateral treaty creating an international organization within the World Bank Group to promote foreign investment in developing countries. Adopted at Seoul in 1985 and in force for Canada as of April 12, 1988, the Convention establishes MIGA’s mandate to encourage investment flows by providing guarantees against non‑commercial risks and supporting economic development through investment promotion.
