Alberta Spatial Price Survey

The Alberta Spatial Price Survey measures price differences between selected Alberta communities for a basket of goods and services at a specific point in time, using Edmonton as the index base. This means that Edmonton is benchmarked at 100.0 and serves as the basis of comparison. As such, communities having an index value above (or below) 100.0 experienced higher (or lower) prices than Edmonton for a particular basket of commodities.
