All of these records are controlled by municipal, provincial or federal legislation. The directory indicates which legislation the records are covered by (i.e. authority). The directory is a list and detailed description of the general classes or types of records and personal information banks in the custody or control of the City. The data was collected from a number of sources. Some of the data was from legacy systems of the former municipalities and is updated by Corporate Information Management Staff. This data is also a subset of the City's Records Classification System (RCS) classification scheme.
