Pavement condition rating 2020
Pavement Condition data collected in 2020, is used to report the overall pavement condition (PCI) at the network level and expresses the overall condition of a pavement segment by considering surface and structural distresses. Data was collected using a semi-automated process by an external contractor hired by the City. The data was collected from 1 lane for local roads and 1 lane in each direction for arterial roads. This PCI is averaged to reflect the overall condition for the entire width and length of the road segment. The pavement distresses and condition ratings follow the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) D6433 standard. Limitations: Major road network (MRN) roads are not included because they are collected by Translink. For MRN pavement condition use Pavement Condition Rating - Major Road Network . Data is only collected from 1-2 vehicular travel lanes, the asset condition on every lane for the entire road width was not collected.
