Storefronts inventory
The annual Storefronts inventory documents change and conditions of storefronts in the City of Vancouver to monitor retail health. Note All inventory years are shown in one layer. To consider only the latest data, filter on the latest “Year Recorded” field. Data currency The inventory is conducted annually in the springtime (March/April) and this dataset is refreshed over the summer. Data accuracy The address for each storefront is mapped to the centre of the property parcels connected to that address. On larger parcels, multiple stores are mapped to the same location. Thus, spatially the data is accurate to the block, and there are instances (e.g. in downtown and Yaletown), where stores from parallel streets are mapped to the same point location.
