This Alberta Official Statistic describes trends in Alberta's farm cash receipts, farm operating expenses, net cash income and realized net income, from 2001 to 2013. Farm cash receipts measure the gross revenue of farms from the sale of products (livestock and crops), and from direct program payments of producers. Farm operating expenses represent the costs incurred by producers in the production of products. Net cash income is the difference between cash receipts and operating expenses, while realized net income adjusts net cash income for depreciation.
