The Canadian Environmental Sustainability Indicators (CESI) program provides data and information to track Canada's performance on key environmental sustainability issues. The Reductions in phosphorus loads to Lake Winnipeg indicator shows the estimated extent to which projects initiated in 2024 and completed in 2025 with funding through the Lake Winnipeg Freshwater Ecosystem Initiative reduced the amount of phosphorus entering rivers and streams flowing into Lake Winnipeg.
