This app is intended for public use/information purposes. This app is intended to display the status of local streets which are under review for speed limit reduction. Numerous local streets are being considered for reduction from 50 km/hr posted speed limit to 40 km/hr posted speed limit. As streets are identified and submitted for review, HRM staff will update the map to reflect one (1) of three (3) classes: 50 km/h (default 50 and in review) (BLUE) 50 km/h (does not meet criteria for reduction) (ORANGE) 40 km/h (approved and installed) (GREEN) The default class of all streets is NULL, and those streets are set to transparent to hide them until they are submitted for review. The primary layer in this app is Neighbourhood Speed Routes, a view layer that has editing disabled. The review status of this layer is controlled internally by HRM staff through the use of the Traffic Calming Editor App. Changes made to the Neighbourhood Speed Routes layer within that app are reflected in this app.
