Development permits approve the use of a site, as well as the size and location of any buildings or structures. It is written approval from the City that development plans meet the City of Lethbridge Land Use Bylaw regulations. An approved development permit is often required before application for a building permit to construct a building or structure, or to apply for a business licence.
