The City of Toronto tracks the revenue it receives from the Municipal Land Transfer Tax and reports these data quarterly in its Management Information Dashboard report (available at www.toronto.ca/progress). Revenue from the Municipal Land Transfer Tax is calculated as a percentage of the value of the home (as constructed or, for resales, considered), and will therefore vary from month to month depending on the number of sales and the value of homes.
