This dataset is no longer being maintained. Please see Rain Gauge Locations and Precipitation for the latest updates. This dataset contains historic rain data across the city during the wet weather season as well as locations of all rain gauge equipment. Rain data was typically collected from early April to the end of October. Over the many decades that the program has been active, locations, equipment, measuring frequency, rain gauge ID, personnel conducting maintenance and calibration and a number of other factors have varied as reflected in the dataset. Toronto Water does not make any claims as to the accuracy and completeness of the dataset. See readme file for further explaination. Limitations: The data provided by the City is for your information only. The City does not warrant accuracy of the data and will not take any liability. Precipitation data can be impacted by a number of factors including: non-functioning equipment, uncalibrated equipment, vandalized equipment, jamming of the equipment (fallen leaves and twigs), errors in collection, errors in transfer of data, error in downloading and posting of data, and interference to the natural flow of air from adjacent…
