This data collection brings together waterfowl survey data collected in Canada by Environment and Climate Change Canada. All datasets included here have been exported from QWAC-QSC (Quantifying Waterfowl Across Canada database - Base de données sur la Quantification de la Sauvagine au Canada), which serves as an internal centralized and standardized repository for waterfowl survey data. The database harmonizes waterfowl survey datasets collected across CWS (Canadian Wildlife Service) regions within a common schema, enabling data generated through different initiatives and survey designs to be integrated and analyzed at broader spatial and temporal scales. This data collection makes information readily accessible for use in national initiatives, harvest management, environmental and impact assessments, conservation planning, and large-scale analyses such as trend estimation and species distribution modelling.
