Temporal declines in fecundity: A study of southern Gulf of St. Lawrence Atlantic herring (Clupea harengus) and implications for potential reproductive output

PURPOSE: This data set was used to examine temporal changes in 4TVn Atlantic Herring fecundity. DESCRIPTION: This data set holds 4TVn Atlantic Herring fecundity data collected in the early 1970s, 1980s and 2022. We used the data to examine the temporal declines in fecundity over the 3 time periods and estimated size-fecundity relationships for each spawning component in the 1970s and 2022.
